Creamy Mushroom Udon
Who says fancy food has to be complicated? This creamy mushroom udon is super easy to make and tastes like a million bucks. It’s perfect for those nights when you want something comforting but don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. Ingredients:
Udon noodles
Mushrooms (any kind you like)ButterGarlicSoy sauceDashi stock (or chicken or vegetable broth)Cream or milkGreen onions Instructions:
Get cookin’!1. Cook your udon noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
2. Slice up your mushrooms. Any kind you like works!
3. Melt some butter in a large pan over medium heat.
4. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they’re softened and golden brown.
5. Toss in some minced garlic and cook for another minute or so until fragrant.
6. Pour in some soy sauce and let it sizzle for a bit.
7. Add the dashi stock (or your chosen broth) and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
8. Slowly pour in the cream or milk. Stir it all together until it’s nice and creamy.
9. Add the cooked udon noodles to the pan and toss everything together to coat the noodles in the creamy sauce.
10. Let it all simmer together for a few minutes to let the flavors meld.
11. Serve it up topped with some chopped green onions.
